I think it’s better to be done right on! Today I’d like to mention the WordPress company and the wonderful engine they’ve created for blogging. It is really easy to use and fun to explore for me so far. Lots of formatting options and huge community make it an obvious recommendation!

For instance, there are literally thousands of themes (the way your content and pages are displayed) free to use. And you can modify them all! There are also lots of widgets for those in need of extra control. You can even write your very own widget.

If you’re new to blogging, then I’d strongly recommend trying out WordPress first for it’s simplicity, but also expandability and style. You can begin with just typing in your posts, and at a certain point start adding pictures, audio and other media files, customize headers, footers, pages, etc. And then you’re ready for social features (i.e. registration of new blog authors). All the way long WordPress engine is making sure everything is in place

Also I’d like to thank Scott for his Simplr theme, I am using now (and will probably modify in the future).

Hello, and welcome to my blog!

It’s up and running at last, and the content is going to be added pretty soon.

I think of making daily updates to the blog on various topics. Theese might include theatre news, new english-russian-russian translations, podcasting, photography, tech and gadgets reviews, my original music, as well as free music recommendations, and many more.

And today’s feature is… audiobook pick! Patricia Wood, ‘Lottery’ is the title of this week. It’s not an ‘off-the-shelves’ one, still very thoughtful and fun to read/listen to. It’s an amazing story of naive mind, true friendship, greed, lies and luck! I’ve got my copy of the audiobook from Audible (the best site to buy audiobooks from!), and it was performed by Paul Michael. Some people complain about his narration, but I’m quite satisfied with it.
